New York Knicks: 3 big questions to answer this offseason
What to do with Frank Ntilikina, Kevin Knox, and should they trade for a “star?
With a new President on board, the Knicks will need to make some difficult decisions on some of their key players. Two of them are Frank Ntilikina and Kevin Knox, two players that have been quite polarizing for the fanbase over their first few years in the NBA.
Ntilikina is a restricted free agent after next season, as is Dennis Smith Jr., and Kevin Knox has a team option for 2021-22 before he eventually has a shot at hitting the restricted free agent market after that season.
But it’s not just making roster decisions on those players, it’s also figuring out if any of these players will be part of the team’s key core moving forward and how they fit alongside RJ Barrett, who you’d assume is a key building piece.
The New York Knicks might not be in the best rebuilding place at the moment, but all hope isn’t dead for the franchise. It’s just going to take some smart, calculating moves to be done this offseason.
