Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love might be the most logical and realistic target for the Nets. By all standards, Love is a true star in this league and comes with a skill-set that is needed in today’s game. He can rebound effectively, is an above-average shooter and could still score at will when asked upon. There are questions about his defense, but his offense more than makes up for his concerns on the other side of the court.

Love would fit great next to Durant and Kyrie and doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective. He has experience playing the third fiddle already, so this role wouldn’t exactly be something that he’d have to learn on the fly. That, perhaps more than anything else, makes him an attractive option for the Nets.

His contract might be a bit of a problem as he’s due $90 million over the next three seasons and I’m not sure if the Nets would want to blow up their roster for a player that could fizzle out halfway through the contract he’s on.

If the Nets really want to invest in a star, look no further than Kevin Love.
