San Antonio Spurs

Is this finally the offseason to blow it all up?

The San Antonio Spurs for the first time in over two decades was on pace to miss the NBA Playoffs. It’s certainly a different time in the Association. However, with their shortcomings, this season comes an opportunity to begin to right the ship this offseason. The big question, however, is whether or not the front office will elect to move in such a manner.

A big reason why they might not want to, Gregg Popovich. He’s been with the team as head coach for more than two decades and losing him might be a knockout blow to the franchise. I’m not sure that’s something they’re willing to take a chance on.

Considering that Pop might not want to stick around for a complete rebuild and you can see why the Spurs might not be willing to pull the trigger completely on a rebuild that might take for more than one summer.

With that said, it’s 100 percent the move that needs to be made.
