NBA: 5 teams Giannis Antetokounmpo absolutely shouldn’t sign with in 2021

Los Angeles Lakers

This list wouldn’t be complete without the Los Angeles Lakers. Already equipped with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it would be difficult to see how exactly the Lakers would be able to pull off signing Giannis but we’ve seen stranger things in the league before. Giannis signing with the Lakers would create another super team just when it seemed like the era was ending.

Plus, let’s not forget – the Lakers are already the Lakers. Even without signing Giannis, the Lakers are already one of the most hated franchises in the NBA. In large part to their constant winning in history and, most recently, due to the signing of LeBron James (the league’s most polarizing player).

Giannis signing with the Lakers would be a huge storyline and would certainly change the landscape of the league, and give the league a new villain. But I have a hard time coming to the conclusion that it would be a great move that most basketball fans would get around.
