7. Detroit Pistons – Cole Anthony, G, North Carolina
As polarizing as he’s become as an NBA Draft prospect, I still firmly believe that Cole Anthony is going to be taken higher than many expect him to be taken. He left much to be desired during his freshman season in North Carolina but the hope is that he will be a better professional player than he was in college.
Heading into his freshman season at North Carolina, Anthony was one of the biggest names in the country. Anthony is a streaky shooter and professional scorer. Many questioned his playmaking ability, as he only averaged four assists per game, but the tools and skill set are in place.
Maybe a new start will do Anthony well. The Pistons don’t need anyone to step in and be the face of the franchise. Blake Griffin is still with the team and will likely carry the offensive load at least next season. Cole Anthony could be an interesting fit.
