30. Boston Celtics (via Milwaukee) – Xavier Tillman, F, Michigan State
The Boston Celtics will likely make a deep run in the playoffs and could be open to trading this pick. In fact, I’d be shocked if they’re making this pick for themselves. Though, Xavier Tillman is an interesting name to keep an eye on late in the first round.
Tillman is an older prospect (21 years old) and could be a player that could help a rotation sooner than some of the other higher ceiling players, but was such an important player for Michigan State during his junior season.
Tillman seems like a perfect target for the Celtics. He’s a player that can develop into a player that could contribute as a frontcourt player. There are questions about his ability to stretch the floor and they are warranted.
