Will he want a shot with this roster, or prefer some shuffling?

Piggybacking off the big questions surrounding Al Horford and Ben Simmons, there are plenty of other questions about this team’s roster. Will new head coach Doc Rivers want to add help in the backcourt, potentially a more pure point guard? Perhaps more shooting after the team failed to recover after not re-signing Jimmy Butler and J.J. Redick?

Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson emerged as key contributors last season; is that something that Rivers wants to continue to depend on heading into next season? While it would be understandable to want to play out the way this roster stands for at least one season (he signed a five-year deal), you couldn’t fault Rivers if wants this roster to fit more his coaching style.

Maybe it already does, but you’d have to think that we could see a few tweaks before the season starts. It’s only natural after watching the way the Sixers performed – or failed to – in the NBA’s restart bubble and into the playoffs.
