NBA Draft winner: Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers got the action started before the NBA Draft even started by trading Al Horford and a couple of picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Danny Green and Terrance Ferguson. They followed that move up by drafting Tyrese Maxey with the 21st pick in the draft and then added Seth Curry via trade later in the night in a deal for Josh Richardson.

They also took fliers on Isaiah Joe and Paul Reed in the second round of the draft. All in all, the Sixers might’ve come away with three rotation players on draft night and arguably the biggest steal of the draft in Maxey.

Daryl Morey has gotten off to a great start for the Sixers and the greatest part of it all is that he’s not done yet. The Sixers might’ve underwhelmed over the last couple of seasons in the playoffs, but this team is being set up for success once again in 2020-21.
