New York Knicks trade candidate: Alec Burks

Alec Burks has only played in seven games from the New York Knicks, but in those games, he’s been quite productive. In that small sample size, Burks is averaging 16 points and five rebounds per game on 45 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Burks is technically the team’s third-leading scorer but is another contributor that is on an expiring contract that may or may be in New York’s future plans. It wouldn’t be surprising if the team wanted to bring back Burks, but at 29 years old I’m sure the team would view him as a wise investment (especially at such an early stage in their rebuilding process).

If the Knicks don’t view him as a player they’d want to re-sign, there’s no question that Alec Burks is certainly a player that should be shopped over the course of the next few weeks. Not to say that he will be traded, but he’s a player that should be kept an eye on.
