NBA Trade Deadline bold predictions: The Los Angeles Lakers will stand relatively pat

Even though we’re not used to seeing LeBron James‘ teams stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline, I firmly believe that there really isn’t a move that would be worth it for this team. They could add a big in the buyout market but I don’t think trading for Andre Drummond or a Hassan Whiteside type would make a big difference.

The Lakers should feel good about where they are at right now. If Anthony Davis hadn’t gotten injured, this team would be right there in stride with the Utah Jazz. All the Lakers really need to worry about heading into the second half of the season is health.

If the Lakers are entering the postseason healthy, I’m not sure there’s a team in the NBA that will be able to take this team to seven games in a potential playoff series – and that includes the supremely talented Brooklyn Nets.
