5. Cleveland Cavaliers – Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor

With rumors swirling that the Cleveland Cavaliers could shop Collin Sexton during the offseason, it wouldn’t be surprising if they add more fuel to that fire of a narrative by drafting Davion Mitchell with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Mitchell would give the Cavs some flexibility if they wanted to move Sexton, as Mitchell can do some of the same things (and then some). Cleveland will love his defensive prowess right away and would help create issues on that end of the floor for opposing teams.

This past season at Baylor, he also improved enough on the offensive end of the floor where he has drawn some big NBA comparisons. Mitchell could emerge as one of the better two-way guards from this draft class.
