NBA teams best positioned to acquire Damian Lillard: New Orleans Pelicans
There’s reportedly growing pressure inside the New Orleans Pelicans front office to surround Zion Williamson with more talent and this type of move would be exactly that.
Considering that the Pelicans have an endless amount of draft picks that they can offer in a hypothetical package (along with Brandon Ingram, if it came to that), the Pelicans should absolutely be viewed as a threat to land Lillard.
By my count the Pelicans can legally trade up to 9 first round picks at draft time without violating the Steipen rule. The picks would go to 2028.

If the Pels want in on Dame - only OKC can top them IMO
A Lillard and Zion duo would absolutely wreak havoc on the rest of the league and would absolutely be good enough to make the playoffs in the Western Conference. After that, who knows what this team’s ceiling would be. Regardless, if Lillard ever hits the trade block, the Pelicans should absolutely make a call.
