Why the Golden State Warriors should not go after Kevin Durant

The Warriors just won an NBA championship without Kevin Durant. Why would they go out and trade for him? They have a young group, not to mention we have yet to see Wiseman in a lineup with Curry, Klay, and Draymond.

Andrew Wiggins has resurrected his career in Golden State. Jordan Poole has blossomed and has been spectacular playing alongside Step and Klay. The Warriors look like they are going to compete for sure next year and possibly for the future with the young players they have.

For Durant, he would certainly get even more criticism should he push for a trade to Golden State – perhaps even worse than what he went through in 2015 when he originally joined the Warriors.

For the Nets, they may not be interested in the return only because they will not have draft picks going forward. If the deal is done, the Warriors don’t have many future picks to give Brooklyn in a return. And we know how much Marks is valuing future picks in any deal for Durant.
