Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets

It would be a mistake if we didn’t revisit the Kevin Durant situation. As far as we know, Durant still wants a trade elsewhere. The problem is that the Nets also still want a mega package in return for Durant. And, as least right now, there aren’t any teams stepping up to the plate with one.

All the posturing aside, I still believe that Durant is going to be traded at some point before the start of the season. Unless Durant has a change of heart, I have a hard time believing that he’s going to be on the roster when training camp opens.

Something will eventually have to give, and maybe that’s Durant making a bigger mess of it all, but he will get his wish and will be on a new roster in the next couple of months. I firmly believe that. Question is, which team will it be that steps up with the offer?
