Memphis Grizzlies – Ziaire Williams

It seems that every season another emerging star arises for the Memphis Grizzlies. First, it was Ja Morant and then Desmond Bane this past season. Could Ziaire Williams be next? After a rookie season in which he averaged eight points per game, he’s a player that could continue to grow with an extended role.

The big question is whether or not he’ll get such a role. If he does, Williams has the talent to continue to grow as a breakout candidate.

Miami Heat – Victor Oladipo

This breakout candidate may be out of necessity for the Miami Heat this season. After losing PJ Tucker and not making any upgrades to the roster this offseason, the Heat will need some internal development if they hope to keep pace with the other contenders in the Eastern Conference.

Victor Oladipo may be in the perfect position to be that for the team. He’s healthy and had a full offseason to work on his craft. This might finally be the year for Oladipo.
