What if the Los Angeles Lakers stand pat

I’d like to put the Los Angeles Lakers in a positive light and say that they’ll be fine if they don’t make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline, but I’d be lying. If the Lakers don’t make some sort of upgrade to their roster, I don’t believe that this team has enough to compete for a championship this season.

Patrick Beverley can’t be the only addition that the Lakers end up making this offseason. Even if it’s just a shooter or a big that the Lakers can get for Westbrook and a pick or two, that’s something they should seriously consider. Who knows how many prime years LeBron has left and AD is a crapshoot every year because of his injury history.

The Lakers are close. Any team with LeBron and AD are going to be. However, there has been something off with this team ever since the acquisition of Westbrook. And the Lakers need to fix that before the playoff push this season. The question is, will they do it?
