NBA Most Improved Player of the Year: Evan Mobley, Cleveland Cavaliers

All the talk around the Cleveland Cavaliers will be centered around the acquisition of Donovan Mitchell but I believe that Evan Mobley may end up being the true key and MVP for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season.

Mobley is coming off a great rookie season in which he averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game on 51 percent shooting from the field. We saw just a preview of the player that he could ultimately be at the NBA level and he has no ceiling heading into his second year in the league.

There aren’t many weak spots in Mobley’s game and I believe we’re going to see a Cleveland offensive philosophy that will feature him a bit more. Plus, with Mitchell on the team, it will only open up the offense more for a player like Mobley.

I believe Mobley is going to have a breakout season. And if he does, the Cavs will finish with a top 4 record in the Eastern Conference.
