Eric Gordon is a player that will likely be moved at the NBA Trade Deadline. It wouldn’t be surprising if he’s the player that the Brooklyn Nets called about. Gordon has an interesting contract that could make him a viable option for many teams looking for depth in the backcourt or shooting.

He has a team option for next season so whichever team acquires him via trade will be able to have control over his contract. That has to be a plus all around for any team looking to make such a move. If he works out, the team that acquires him can opt-in to next season. If it doesn’t, the team could simply part ways with him and allow him to walk in free agency.

This season, Gordon is averaging 15 points and three assists on 48 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. He may be 33 years old but he’s still a player that could help a team trying to contend for a championship.
