NBA Trade Rumors: Mavs, Lakers interested in Bogdan Bogdanovic ahead of deadline

NBA Trade Rumors: The Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers appear to be interested in Bogdan Bogdanovic ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. 

Just a few days before the NBA Trade Deadline, there are plenty of moving parts that may or may not be settled. But that’s part of the fun. And beyond the Kyrie Irving trade demand and the possibility of the Toronto Raptors blowing it all up is several contenders looking to make a big move to solidify their stance in the league’s hierarchy.

Two of those teams are the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. These are two teams that are trying to jump into the contenders’ tier and the belief is that they are one big move away from doing so. And while they are certainly going to do their due diligence in surveying what’s available around the league, there’s one player that they have been both linked to recently.

According to recent reports, both the Mavs and Lakers have expressed some interest in trading for Bogdan Bogdanovic ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

Will the Atlanta Hawks trade Bogdan Bogdanovic ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline?

In an attempt to add a shooter, Bogdanovic would be a solid move for either team. Of course, it’s not that easy. The big question is whether or not the Atlanta Hawks would even be open to moving Bogdanovic.

I think it’s safe to say that the Hawks are going to be open to retooling the roster at the NBA Trade Deadline but it remains unclear if that means moving Bogdanovic. At least in theory, he would be a good player to target.

In the games that he’s played for the Hawks this season, he’s been productive off the bench. He’s averaging 15 points, three assists, and three rebounds on 43 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.

He’d be a great addition to the Mavs or the Lakers if they could manage to hammer out a competitive offer. He could play off both Luka Doncic and LeBron James and would add an element to both teams that they currently don’t have.

That said, both teams are expected to show interest in Kyrie Irving. I think both teams explore that avenue before they circle back to a potential deal for Bogdanovic. And even then, that has to be signaled by a willingness from the Hawks to make a deal.
