2. San Antonio Spurs – Scoot Henderson, G, G League Ignite
There’s a case to be made that this is an NBA Draft that has two players worthy of being taken No. 1 overall. But because of how generational a prospect as Victor has a chance to be, it would be shocking if any team didn’t select him No. 1 overall. But Scoot Henderson would be an excellent consolation prize for any team that doesn’t land the No. 1 overall pick.
Henderson has drawn comparisons to some of the best point guards in the last decade. And there is a hope that he could be an absolute superstar once he makes the jump to the NBA. He’s extremely athletic and has the “it” factor that we have seen in the past with the likes of Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, and more recently with Ja Morant.
For the San Antonio Spurs, the decision would be easy. This is a team that is in need of a new face of the franchise and landing one of the top two prospects in this year’s draft class would help this franchise jump-start its rebuild immensely.
