10. Dallas Mavericks – Taylor Hendricks, F, UCF
Heading into the NBA Draft with what is a projected 10 pick, it’ll be interesting to see how the Dallas Mavericks approach it. Something to keep in mind, if the pick does fall out of the top 10, it gets conveyed to the New York Knicks. It’s something that will be ultimately decided at the NBA Draft Lottery. If the Mavs do keep their top 10 pick, there’s at least a good chance that they don’t even make a selection.
According to a recent report, there’s a strong chance that the Mavs end up trading this pick in an attempt to surround Luka Doncic (and perhaps Kyrie Irving) with a stronger supporting cast after a disappointing season in which they failed to make the NBA Playoffs.
But if the Mavs do end up making a selection, one prospect that could make some sense for the team is Taylore Hendricks. He is a prospect that could potentially help the Mavs as soon as next season as he translates as a 3-and-D wing with the potential to be so much more.
