Realistic – The Warriors trade one of their young players

At this point, it’s almost impossible to predict what the Golden State Warriors will do during the offseason. From everything we know, if I had to guess, I’d expect the Warriors to run it back next season. That means Draymond Green with either opt into the final year of his deal or he’s going to get an extension from the team. Aside from the team’s top 4 players of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond, and Andrew Wiggins, anything and everything else could be on the table heading into the offseason.

And according to a recent report, the Warriors are exploring the possibility of trading into the lottery of this year’s NBA Draft. They currently own the 19th pick. It’s tough to say what or who the team may be targeting heading into the draft but trading one of their young players, perhaps Jonathan Kuminga, for a late lottery pick can’t be ruled out.

In fact, if the Warriors do end up making a move on draft day, that could certainly be the move. Kuminga might be the odd man out for the Warriors and it would probably be best to find a new landing spot for him. And the Warriors could accomplish that by adding a pick this year.
