Keyonte George, Utah Jazz

Heading into the 2023 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz had three first-round picks at their disposal. Even though there was an expectation that they could trade one or two of those selections, the Jazz ended up standing pat and decided to make the picks. In the end, one of the most intriguing players of the bunch was Keyonte George, a dynamic offensive guard out of Baylor. George was selected with the No. 16 overall pick in the first round and flashed his long-term potential at various moments in NBA Summer League.

In the three games that he played in, George averaged 22 points and six assists on 52 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. There were times throughout the summer league when George looked like the best player on the floor. And that’s something the Jazz could look to build on heading into training camp.

Entering year 2 of their rebuild, there’s a chance that George could end up being a key foundational player for the Jazz moving forward. At this point, it would appear that he’s going to play a big role for the Jazz this season.
