Lester Quinones, Golden State Warriors

Lester Quinones emerged as one of the more surprising standouts from this year’s NBA Summer League tournament. In five games with the Warriors summer league team, Quinones averaged 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game. He did struggle with his efficiency, shooting 37 percent from the field and 27 percent shooting from 3-point range. Nevertheless, his overall production was something that couldn’t be overlooked.

Quinones currently is on a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors. It’ll be interesting to see if Golden State, at all this upcoming season, decides to change that and sign him to a conventional contract. Quinones has shown enough in summer league to suggest that he could develop into a contributor for an NBA team, perhaps even the Warriors. If he can continue to build off this momentum that he’s built, there’s no question he’ll be on an NBA roster sooner rather than later.

At the very least, Quinones is a name to keep an eye on in the preseason. I’m sure the Warriors will want to get an even better look at this 22-year-old prospect.
