Worst moves the Detroit Pistons made this offseason

The Detroit Pistons didn’t have a terrible offseason by any means. In fact, I don’t think I can pinpoint any one move and say that was particularly bad. However, for the sake of this exercise, there is one gripe that I continue to have about how the Pistons are building.

Not trading Bojan Bogdanovic

I still don’t understand the motive behind the Pistons not trading Bojan Bogdanovic after the season he just had, but perhaps they know something that I don’t. That said, I still believe it could end up being something they grow to regret. Bogdanovic’s trade value is at an all-time high right now and the Pistons deciding that he’s more valuable for the team on the roster than what they get via trade.

For a rebuilding team, that’s quite the gamble. If the Pistons get off to a slow start, though, I’d imagine they’ll revisit this idea. At that point, though, it may be too late. Maybe Bogdanovic is the veteran that helps this team make a real playoff push. I just don’t see it.
