Dallas Mavericks

As long as Luka Doncic is on the team and he’s playing at a high level, the Dallas Mavericks are going to be big players in the NBA transaction window. By the time the 2025 offseason rolls around the Mavs will likely have some big money to spend. Both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kyrie Irving will be off the books and Dallas will be able to spend freely in an attempt to find more help for Luka. If Luka continues to play at an otherworldly level, why wouldn’t Giannis Antetokounmpo want to team up with him in Dallas?

Plus, at least from objective thinking, wouldn’t a Luka and Giannis duo be great for the league as a whole? Two international players at their skillset teaming up possibly to dominate the NBA would be a great story. And if there’s any owner that would fit right in with both of them, it’s Mark Cuban.

The Mavs have struggled to experience sustained success since the retirement of Dirk Nowitzki but at some point, they’re going to return to championship excellence with Luka. He’s just too good of a player. Maybe it happens with Giannis playing next to him.
