Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns

Ever since Kevin Durant decided to leave Oklahoma City, he’s never been on a team that wasn’t good enough to win a championship on paper. He’s been on super team after super team after super team. From the Warriors to the Brooklyn Nets (teaming up with Kyrie Irving) to now the Suns in which he’s entering the season with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal as his supporting cast. KD has made it clear throughout his career that he’s now about winning championships.

However, it’s been a while since he’s done so. He won in Golden State but struggled to do so in Brooklyn. Last year in Phoenix, the Suns lost in the second round of the playoffs. Heading into this season, with a retooled supporting cast, KD will be under pressure to win.

KD is considered one of the best players ever but his legacy has been tainted a bit over the last few seasons. His stint in Brooklyn won’t be remembered fondly. If he wants to repair his legacy as not only one of the most talented players in NBA history but also as a winner, winning a championship in Phoenix would do that.
