Phoenix Suns are their gamble to go all-in

The Phoenix Suns made a decision at last year’s NBA Trade Deadline that they were willing to go all-in to win a championship, no matter the cost. At that point, the Suns gutted their roster for Kevin Durant and continued down that path at the start of this offseason when they acquired Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards. In an attempt to find a better fit next to Beal, KD, and Devin Booker, the Suns closed the offseason by trading Deandre Ayton for Jusuf Nurkic and pieces.

While the Suns will be a favorite to win the 2024 NBA Championship on paper, they have a lot of proving to do considering they didn’t even make it to the conference finals last season even with KD on their roster already. It’s not going to be as easy as some seem to believe it will be for the Suns.

If the Suns don’t win a title in the next two seasons, Phoenix’s gamble to go all-in will be looked back as a huge bust. And it will prove to be difficult for the franchise to recover quickly.
