Jericho Sims, New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are deep at the center position. And there’s one young big that could be of interest to a team like the LA Clippers. Jericho Sims has shown signs of being a potential backup big in the league. Over the past two seasons with the Knicks, he’s shown the ability to be productive at times. Last season, in 52 games played (16 starts), Sims averaged three points and five rebounds on 78 percent shooting from the field.

Sims is the type of player that you just stick in the lineup and allow him to impact the game in the small areas. He’s not a go-to player and can operate around the system. He’s just 25 years old and may not have the vast experience as some of the other players on this list, but he’d be a relatively cheap addition for LA.

From a financial standpoint, Sims would be a great fit for the Clippers. He’s in the final year of his cheap contract and has a $2 million team option for next season. If he ends up being a real player for the Clippers, they could always bring him back next season on their terms. At the very least, he’s a low-risk option that the Clippers could think about.
