San Antonio Spurs

Jeremy Sochan

Deservedly so, all of the San Antonio Spurs’ attention so far this season has been given to Victor Wembanyama. He appears to be every bit the franchise-changing player that many penned him out to be before the start of the season. However, there is another intriguing young player on the roster that the Spurs should be grateful to have on their roster – Jeremy Sochan.

Sochan’s ceiling is limitless at this point and he’s only beginning to scratch the surface of the player he can eventually be.

Toronto Raptors

Scottie Barnes

Taking context into their situation, it’s hard to pinpoint big bright spots for the Toronto Raptors. However, Scottie Barnes is clearly a player the team should be grateful for. He seems to be coming into his own and very much looks like a star player in the making. He’s averaging 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists on 47 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range during his third season in the league.

If the Raptors have any chance of breaking out of their recent slump, it will largely be due to Barnes.
