4. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
After a somewhat slow start to the season, the Milwaukee Bucks have looked more and more like a legit championship contender of late. As Damian Lillard has become more comfortable in the offense, the Bucks have become that much more dangerous as a threat. And that's going to continue to be the case for the remainder of the season. However, at this stage in their careers, it's hard to see Lillard getting much credit for that in the NBA MVP race.
Instead, it will be Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been as consistent as ever this season, that will get the votes for Milwaukee. Because of the possibility of a splitting of votes situation, it's hard to imagine Giannis winning the award this season. Even if the Bucks do end up with the best record in the NBA, it'll be extremely unlikely for Giannis to get enough votes.
Nevertheless, that doesn't mean he still won't finish in the top 5 in voting. Giannis deserves some consideration and love in the NBA MVP vote. Especially if the Bucks are able to overcome their depth issues this season.
