NBA Trade Deadline target: Trey Lyles, Sacramento Kings

With the best record in the NBA, it would be outlandish to suggest that the Boston Celtics need to make a huge change to their roster. In fact, I'd argue that they may not even need to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline. However, if there is one target that they could have at this point, it would be to address some of the concerns that they may have when it comes to their depth. Adding shooting and length in the frontcourt could be at the forefront wishlist.

One player that would make some sense for the Celtics, both from a basketball standpoint and a financial one is Trey Lyles. A player who may not be a lock to remain in the rotation for the Sacramento Kings all season long, Lyles is a player who could be of use for the Celtics. With just one year remaining on his contract after this season, Lyles is a player that would fit in the Celtics' short-term future.

Lyles is a 6-foot-9 big that can stretch the floor with his 3-point shot. Lyles has shot at least 36 percent shooting from 3-point range in each of his last two seasons in the league. He's a backup big that would work in the Celtics' system too.
