Toronto Raptors

This might very well be the most likely of scenarios to come out of the summer for Kyle Lowry, but re-signing with the Raptors might be the exact definition of insanity. Lowry has been down this road many times, and it’s always led to disappointment – no offense, Toronto.

Maybe the combination of DeMar DeRozan and Lowry simply doesn’t work. It hasn’t thus far, and they didn’t exactly close the gap with Cleveland this season. At the same time, this is also the “safe” move for Lowry.

There’s no guarantee that he’ll be joining a better team on the open market, and with the Raptors he knows he can at least get to the Conference Finals. And, hey, maybe one of these years they will break through and beat LeBron?

Interestingly, this could come down to Toronto. Do the Raptors want Lowry back, or are they willing to let him walk?
