New Orleans Pelicans

It’s easy to forget after everything that took place regarding the New Orleans Pelicans and Anthony Davis this season, but this was a team that was coming off a first-round sweep of the Blazers in last year’s playoffs, and many thought they could make some noise in a somewhat wide open Western Conference.

That quickly unraveled after the team got off to a slow start to the year, and then Davis demanded a trade. For the Pelicans, this season will end without a post-season appearance and huge question marks heading into the summer.

New Orleans were one of the biggest disappointments this year, and while partly it wasn’t because of the team overall, you can’t help but wonder how this year would’ve ended up had they gotten off to a quicker start out of the gate.
