The Detroit Pistons are another natural potential suitor for Russell Westbrook. They are a team that has been living in mediocrity, with their only chance of escaping coming via trade. They could be in the market for another star to stick next to Blake Griffin, but, of course, making it all work financially could be difficult.

Detroit doesn’t have any prime young assets on their roster and would have to hope that OKC would be interested in just getting from out of Westbrook’s big deal. If so, the Pistons could be a real threat.

They’d also likely need a third team, probably to find a landing spot for Andre Drummond, to avoid being in financial hell.
