28. Memphis Grizzlies

Marquee summer move: Drafting Ja Morant, trading Mike Conley 

The Memphis Grizzlies are officially on the other side. Over the last six months, they have moved on from both Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, clearing the route for a full rebuild. And they started the rebuild by adding one of the more electric rookies from this year’s class in Ja Morant.

Morant has all the tools to be a real superstar at the NBA level. He’s fast, extremely athletic and an absolute competitor. In the right system, there’s no question that he’s going to be a household name sooner rather than later.

The big question, of course, is whether or not the Grizzlies will be able to successfully surround him with winning talent. That’s the most difficult part of any rebuild, and it’s what the Grizzlies now face.
