18. San Antonio Spurs (9-14)

For the first time in over two decades, the San Antonio Spurs are in real danger to miss the playoffs. And if there aren’t substantial changes in the not-so-distant future, this is something that will happen this season.

DeMar DeRozan is not the player that he once was and doesn’t exactly fit with this offense. You can say the same about LaMarcus Aldridge but is a bit more useful than his counterpart. Keep an eye on the Spurs, as they should be active players at the NBA Trade Deadline.

17. Portland Trail Blazers (9-14)

Raise your hand if you had Carmelo Anthony saving the Portland Trail Blazers’ season this year? Now put it down because I know you’re lying. But, nevertheless, here we are. The Blazers appeared to be on a dangerous downward spiral to start the season. Then, they signed Melo and everything has changed.

Since inking Melo, the Blazers are 5-4. But with the way their start to the season had gone, 5-4 has been a welcoming record. Melo appears to be useful and is having a positive impact on the team. Question is, how long will it all last?
