NBA Mock Draft: LaMelo Ball headlines a class of unknown prospects
11. San Antonio Spurs – Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State
Tyrese Haliburton falling to No. 11 might come as a bit of a surprise, but he’s also a prototypical San Antonio Spurs player. He’d fit right in with their system and could play either guard positions with his good size. Haliburton can rebound well for his position and has good playmaking ability.
He would be an interesting backcourt mate for Dejounte Murray and shot 42 percent from 3-point range this past season for the Cyclones. He’d be a great fit in San Antonio and under Gregg Popovich.
12. Sacramento Kings – Devin Vassell, G, Florida State
The Sacramento Kings have a number of unknowns heading into the offseason and it would be smart of them to try and add some depth to the backcourt in the event that they lose Bogdan Bogdanovic and/or Buddy Hield over the summer.
Devin Vassell could be an interesting fit. He’s a big guard that shoots the deep ball at a 40-plus percent clip. He is coming off a fantastic sophomore season with the Seminoles and would be a solid pick for the Kings at No. 12.
