The Wizards trade Bradley Beal

In the event that the Washington Wizards look at the landscape of the Eastern Conference and come to the conclusion that they won’t be able to realistically compete within the next 2-3 years, they could come to the realization that it might be in their best interest to potentially hit the hard reset button.

It should be noted that as of now, the Wizards haven’t shown any willingness to even listen to offers involving Beal. Of course, if that were to change over the course of the next few weeks, that would almost certainly change the dynamic heading into the 2020 NBA Draft.

Not only could we see teams at the top of the draft offer assets for the all-star guard but you will see a number of other teams try to make a play for him. You could see teams with assets trying to convert those into 2020 draft picks to potentially create a package that would be viewed fondly by Washington.

That said, this is unlikely at this point. From all indications, it appears that the Wizards will roll the dice next season on a John Wall, Bradley Beal backcourt, and see where that takes them.
