Is it time for the Golden State Warriors to move on from Andrew Wiggins?

A couple of years ago, when the Golden State Warriors took a shot on Andrew Wiggins, there were many that believed this was his best chance at resurrecting his career. And that is exactly what has happened over the last couple of years, which was punctuated by winning a championship this past season.

Wiggins made the Western Conference all-star team this past season in which he averaged 17 points and five rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. All while playing excellent defense on the other end of the floor.

Wiggins is playing arguably the best basketball of his career and will be entering the final year of his contract with the Warriors. Golden State needs to decide whether they’re going to re-sign him or not; which could be costly.

If they don’t think they could afford an extension, perhaps it may be in the best interest of both sides to find a trade that makes sense. Either way, it’s a big decision that awaits the Warriors.
