Considering that the Charlotte Hornets are coming off a season in which they took a step back, you’d have to imagine that there is a certain level surrounding this team heading into the offseason. Not to mention that the team could be on the verge of being sold. Those are things that could end up dictating how the ownership and management approach the offseason.

And while it could be difficult to sell Charlotte to big-name free agents, acquiring talent via the NBA Draft and trade is where the Hornets are going to make their biggest improvements this offseason. And one player that they could target is Jonathan Isaac. While he may be far from a sure thing, he has the high-ceiling talent that the Hornets should be willing to bet on.

Plus, Isaac also plays a position that is of need for the Hornets. With questions surrounding their stance on re-signing PJ Washington, Isaac could also be viewed as somewhat of a fallback plan. And if he does end up panning out for the Hornets, he would emerge as a pleasant surprise for a team that is in desperate need of talent to stick next to LaMelo Ball.
