Realistic – The Toronto Raptors trade OG Anunoby or Pascal Siakam

At this point, it would be somewhat shocking if the Toronto Raptors ended up standing pat and not making changes to their roster. It should be the expectation and I anticipate we’re going to see them tip their hand either before or during the NBA Draft by making a splash trade. Whether it ends up being the splash trade that many envision them making remains to be seen. However, I believe that there’s a good chance that they could end up moving OG Anunoby or Pascal Siakam at the NBA Draft.

I’m still not sold they’ll move both and pivot toward a complete rebuilding of the roster but I don’t think it would be that shocking if one of them was moved. Here’s the thing: If the Raptors want to make a huge move, perhaps one into the top 3 of the draft, they’d probably have to move Siakam. He would fit in Portland and would be an intriguing fit next to Damian Lillard. Just something to keep in mind.

They could move Anunoby too. But I’d have to imagine that such a deal wouldn’t bring as much of a return as Siakam would. Maybe they could move Anunoby to Indiana for the No. 7 pick, a future first-rounder, and a young player like Chris Duarte or Bennedict Mathrin?
