Notable moves: Acquired Royce O’Neale, signed T.J. Warren, ruined relationships with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant

I honestly don’t know what to make of the Brooklyn Nets’ offseason. Since the start of free agency, they’ve been in the news quite a bit. But it’s almost always been for all the wrong reasons. Kevin Durant has demanded a trade and Kyrie Irving seems like a player that already has plans on leaving as soon as he hits free agency next summer.

That said, if the Nets could somehow convince Durant and Kyrie to be all-in on this season, there’s a good chance that this team could be really good. Especially if Ben Simmons is ready to go at the start of the year.

If it wasn’t for the organization making a mess out of this Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant situation, there’s no question that the Nets would be heading into next season with a high passing grade. For now, considering there’s no certainty on how this saga will end, they get a low passing grade.

If Durant isn’t on the roster when the season starts, that will change to a failing one.
